Natural Gas

Burning natural gas produces nearly half as much carbon dioxide per unit of energy compared with coal. Considering only tailpipe emissions, natural gas also emits 15 to 20 percent less global warming associated gases than petrol when burned in today’s typical vehicle. Natural gas is thus considered by many to be a bridge fuel that can help in achieving lower carbon emissions while the transition to more expensive carbon neutral forms of energy production.
